ART PRAGUE – veletrh současného umění Již podeváté se bude v Praze ve dnech 11. – 16. května 2010 konat veletrh současného umění ART PRAGUE. Základní osou přehlídky zůstávají pravidelní účastníci veletrhu z České republiky, Nizozemí, Německa, Francie, nově pak galerie ze Švýcarska a Taiwanu. Návštěvník veletrhu o ploše 2000 m2 shlédne (s možností koupě) originální díla téměř všech výtvarných oborů - malba, kresba, grafika, plastika, umělecké sklo, instalace, projekty v plenéru, videoart. Kvalita expozic jednotlivých galerií každým rokem stoupá, jejich program je čitelně vyprofilovaný, a tak si návštěvník může snadno vybrat styl jemu nejbližší. Snad právě proto se veletrh stal vyhledávanou událostí nejen tradičních milovníků výtvarného umění (sběratelé, teoretici, studenti, umělci, podnikatelé, zahraniční návštěvníci), ale i nováčků, kteří se se současnými trendy, především v oblasti malby, teprve seznamují. Na veletrhu budou kromě děl ověřených jmen (Sýkora, Rittstein, Kovanda, Knapp, Pacovská, Róna, Singer, Bláha, Kunc, aj) hojně prezentována rovněž díla nejmladší generace – čerstvých absolventů uměleckých škol. Tato díla jsou cenově dostupnější, čímž se stávají oblíbeným cílem zájemců o koupi originálu. K veletrhu již neodmyslitelně patří doprovodný program – kulaté stoly, VIP akce, nocturno (čtvrtek 13. 5. bude výstavní síň Mánes otevřena do 21 hodin). Dvojjazyčný katalog s širokým obrazovým materiálem uvede kompletní program veletrhu. Atraktivní bude bezesporu i každoroční prezentace uměleckých časopisů: Flash Art, Art&Antique, Labyrint, Revolver Revue. I letos jsou mediálním partnerem Art Prague ArtNowOnLine, ArtVista, ArtFacts.Net a Prager Zeitung... Konání již IX. ročníku veletrhu Art Prague svědčí o zájmu galeristů a odborné, ale i laické veřejnosti o tento druh prezentace současného umění; galerie zde mají možnost bezprostředního kontaktu s širokým publikem, návštěvníci pak příležitost v krátkém časovém úseku zhlédnout nabídku několika stovek, ba tisícovek uměleckých děl. Je jistě potěšitelné, že pražský veletrh Art Prague dnes již patří do okruhu prestižních zahraničních veletrhů obdobného rozsahu jakými jsou např. veletrh Artparis, Arténimes, veletrh ve Strasbourgu či ve Vídni. Pořadatelé veletrhu se těší na Vaši návštěvu. 
ART PRAGUE – Contemporary Art Fair The core of the exhibition is its regular participants such as Navratil, Montanelli, 5. patro, Millennium, Gambit, Peron and other galleries. Prague will also see the return of foreign galleries such as Bleibtreu from Berlin, Mathieu from Lyon, Art Traffic from Amsterdam, Raum from Freiburg and others. For the first time this year, ONO Gallery from Bern (Switzerland)) will join the exhibition as well as the GSR Gallery from Taiwan. The youngest generation will be presented by The Chemistry Gallery and by Avoid Gallery. Visitors to this 2000 m2 fair will be able to see (and buy) original pieces of all art techniques, such as paintings, drawings, graphics, plastic art, installations, open air projects and video art. The quality of exhibits from different galleries has been getting better each year and the programs are clearly profiled, allowing visitors to pick the style that most appeals to them. Maybe that’s why the fair has been attended not only by art lovers (collectors, theoreticians, students, painters, businessmen and foreign visitors), but also complete beginners who are only becoming familiar with the current art trends. The fair, apart from works by renowned artists (Sykora, Rittstein, Naceradsky, Blaha, Rona, Singer), will also present works of the youngest generation – the graduates of Czech art schools.These, being financially more affordable, tend to become favorite targets of buyers. The fair is inherently associated with its accompanying program and a popular nocturno will be held and Mánes will stay open May 13 until 9 pm. A bilingual catalogue with numerous photographs and reproductions will present a complete picture of the fair. Annual art magazine presentations are not to be missed; this year it will be Flash Art, Art&Antique, Labyrint and Revolver Revue. The Art Prague’s media partner are again ArtNowOnLine, ArtVista and Prager Zeitung, as well as ArtFacts.net. The fact that this year’s is already the 9th edition of Art Prague proves that this kind of contemporary art exhibition is popular with gallery owners, and both the general and professional public. Galleries get a chance to address the general public and visitors can see a selection of hundreds, or even thousands of pieces of art in a short period of time. It is certainly encouraging that Art Prague has become one of the more prestigious international fairs similar to Artparis, Arténimes, Strasbourg and the Vienna Fairs. The auspices were provided by the Mayor of the City of Prague, Pavel Bém, and the Mayor of Municipality of Prague 1, Filip Dvorak. The organizers are looking forward to your visit.
